Training

Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS)

Our puppies are introduced to ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) that starts at day 3 to day 16 of age. “By doing this, each puppy benefits improved heart rate, stronger heart beat, stronger adrenal glands, tolerance to stress and greater resistance to disease. By this early stimulation, pups were found to be more active and more exploratory than non-stimulated pups. “ ~ Dr. Carmen L Battaglia

Puppy Culture

At 3 weeks they transition to Puppy Culture where they are introduced to “socialization, to emotional resiliency exercises, problem prevention protocols, and training basic skills from beginning leash training, beginning crate training, beginning potty training, manding (sitting when with a human), facing their fears, enrichment and socialization.”  Your puppy will be set to join your family with proper things built into their development that was started early on.  They will come to “Puppy, puppy come!” as the recall, and do “manding” where they sit automatically at your feet. They will also go potty to the comand “Go Potty Potty! when you take them outside. You will notice a huge difference in how your pup adapts to new things, and how easy it will be to continue training your pup!

Volhard’s Puppy Aptitude Test

Your pup will also go through the Volhard’s Puppy Aptitude Test that will give me, as the breeder, the knowledge of where your pup is when they are introduced to different situations regarding: Social Interactions, Following, Put Under Restraint (how does he/she react when on their back), Social Dominance, Elevation Dominance, Retrieving, Touch Sensitivity, Sound Sensitivity, Sight Sensitivity and Stability. By a specific grading grid and results, it will tell me if your pup is nervous, outgoing, dominate in nature, insecure, and the list goes on. It will help you as the new owners understand your pup so you can meet his/her needs when you get them in your new environment.

Bell Ringing

Your pup will be introduced to bell ringing so that when you are in the throws of potty training, and by adding the bell to your doors, will be familiar to your pup and give them confidence in communicating their needs with you. Please watch this youtube video for more information to continue your pup’s training.

Don’t forget your clicker…and FYI, easy things that your pup loves for training is their kibble softened in water, cheese, and cooked chicken (but I would save the chicken for really good/hard/new things, and not for all training sessions).
